Exercise is good to keep us fit, but does it jut look after the physical being of one ?
Most of us feel good after a bout of nice exercise, there is a feeling of being in relaxed mood and all the mental thoughts fade. Even the most stressful news looks like something which can be easily taken care of, which results in higher happiness levels during stressful times.

Our bodies react in different ways to stress. With age we all get more responsibility over our shoulders and gradually stress creeps in slowly. Exercise keeps our fit and also makes mind ready on a regular basis to cope with stress. During exercise, the brain releases chemicals which have a overall soothing effect on our whole self thus leading to a calmer approach.

Challenges during exercise also keep one's self prepared and this gives added confidence to take on tougher tasks or to cope with problems more easily in stressful times. Everyday exposure to challenging situations make us mentally more prepared. Inner strength is also more vitalised adding to the push and thus more satisfaction from one's efforts leading to even enhanced happiness levels.

Happiness is routine, we need discipline like exercise to help us in events of life by keeping us ready. Exercise is one of the smaller steps needed to happiness and better well being.
